Rotating the Model
You rotate the view port by holding and moving the left mouse button inside the viewport. If you hold down the mouse when over the model, then that point will be used as the rotation point. If you want to rotate around a nozzle for example you press the left mouse when over the nozzle and then start moving the mouse. Moving the Model
You pan the view port by holding and moving the right mouse button.
Turning Tubes, Defects and Parts On and Off
Tubes and other parts are turned on and off by checking/un-checking the boxes
next to them in
the Project Browser. You can also turn on and off tubes that match
different criteria's by checking/un-checking the boxes in the Legend window.
Creating a New Model - Not available in the Viewer version To start a new project you go to File->New and select TubePro 2D (TMI) from the file type list. After the file is opened you will most likely go to the Bundle Geometry to set up the bundle dimensions, tube length, tubesheet OD and thickness, bundle geometry etc.
If you are modeling an air cooler then you change the unit type to
air cooler and then set up the headers and nozzles.
Importing and Editing 3D Tube Defects - Not available in the Viewer version
You can have multiple defects along each tube, having the defects
displayed in 3D helps the analysts and owners to see where in the
bundle the damage is and make a better analysis. The
defects can be imported and edited with the Defect Editor, this
editor is started from the Tools menu.
Turning defect ranges on and off TubePro 3D lets you view tubes and defects that meet certain percent loss or defect code criteria's by turning them on and off in the Legend window by checking or un-checking the boxes next to each item in the legend. Launching TubePro 3D from TubePro 2D - Not available in the Viewer version The fastest way to view your current project in 3D is to select Launch TubePro 3D from the Tools menu in TubePro2D. The current project will be saved automatically and loaded in to TubePro 3D. After TubePro 3D is started you setup the bundle geometry as usual. Adding a 3D image to the report in TubePro 2D. First orient the view the way you want is displayed in the report and then select Copy 3D Model to the Clipboard. Switch over to TubePro 2D and click on the location in the report where you want to add the image and select Paste from the Edit menu. After that you can size and move the image where you want it. You can also save the image to a file in TubePro 3D by selecting Save 3D image to file from the File menu. Then switch over to TubePro 2D, select the location in the report where you want the image and select Insert Image from the Drawing menu. You can also add the image to the 2D tube-map drawing by selecting the drawing window and then doing then doing the save as described above. Saving a 3D model to a database - Not available in the Viewer version You can save the 3D model and all data associated with it by selecting Save to Database from the File menu and then selecting the inspection project that you want to save the model to. Opening a 3D model from a database You open a 3D model from a database by selecting Open from Database from the File menu. Related Links:
